Two people were treated by medics following a house fire in Paisley at the weekend.

Emergency services were called to a property in Caplaw Road, Paisley, at around 4.15pm on Saturday, December 9.

Three appliances from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were sent to the scene and firefighters managed to extinguish the flames.

The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended the incident and treated two people for smoke inhalation.

A spokesperson for the SFRS said: "We were alerted at 4.15pm on Saturday, December 9 to reports of a dwelling fire on Caplaw Road, Paisley.

"Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene.

"Two casualties were assessed by the Scottish Ambulance Service for smoke inhalation.

"Crews left at 8.24pm after ensuring the area had been made safe."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
