TWO people have been rushed to hospital after an incident in Linwood earlier this morning.

It comes after the Scottish Ambulance Service responded to a report of an incident on Bridge Street in the town at around 11.45am on Tuesday, December 19.

Two ambulances and a specialist team were sent to the scene where the pair were then taken to hospital.

It is currently unknown what exactly the incident was.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 11.46am to attend an incident on Bridge Street, Linwood.

"Two ambulances and a special operations response team (SORT) were dispatched to the scene.

"Two patients were transported to the Royal Alexandra Hospital, Paisley."
