Cops are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for a missing man last seen almost a week ago.

Robert Drysdale was last seen in the area of Glenpatrick Road, Elderslie, at around 12pm on Friday, March 8.

The 58-year-old left the area in a maroon-coloured Toyota RAV 4 - registration number VO68 UEG.

He is described as being white, 6ft 1inch tall, with grey hair which is thinning on top.

He was last seen wearing a grey puffer jacket with burgundy piping, dark trousers, dark shoes with a white sole and carrying a medium-sized black rucksack.

Sergeant Martin McKirdy said: “We are asking members of the public to keep a look out for Robert as we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“It is possible that he has taken a drive up the west coast and therefore we are keeping an open mind about how far he could have travelled.

"Officers are carrying out a number of enquiries and searching areas he would normally frequent to check he is safe and well but would ask anyone who has seen him or his vehicle to get in touch with us.

“Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1611 of Tuesday, March 12, 2024.”
