THREE primary schools in Renfrewshire received hoax bomb threats this afternoon.

Police were called to St Anne's Primary School and St John Bosco Primary in Erskine and Langbank Primary following reports of a malicious call.

Searches were carried out at all three sites and all pupils have been confirmed as safe.

St John Bosco was evacuated as a precautionary measure.

Pupils will return to school as normal tomorrow and parents and carers will be contacted if their school has been affected.
