FAMILY fun was on offer as a Johnstone care home staged its annual fete.
The wet weather couldn’t dampen the enthusiasm of those who went along to the event at Ranfurly Care Home, in Quarrelton Road.
And organisers made sure no-one suffered a soaking as they put ‘Plan B’ into operation, with many of the activities being moved indoors.
There was plenty of entertainment for people of all ages, with face painting proving to be particularly popular with young guests.
Bargain hunters were able to snap up everything from arts and crafts to bric-a-brac.
And people were also encouraged to try their luck at the tombola stall.
Meanwhile, in the tearoom, there were plenty of tasty treats and hot drinks being served up.
Care home manager Margaret Rooney was delighted to see so many people, including residents’ friends and relatives, supporting the fete.
She said: "Of course, as we live in Scotland, we got rain on the day of an outdoor fete but there was no need to worry, as we put Plan B into action by moving the majority of visitors inside.
"They also had the choice of returning back outside to the stalls if they wanted."
Despite the rain, more than £1,000 was raised on the day.
This will be used to fund a series of outings for the Ranfurly residents over the rest of the year.
Margaret added: "As this event is so popular, Ranfurly will be holding it again next year for locals, the residents and their friends and family to enjoy."
