Around 10.40pm on Monday, June 9, a man – described as being of medium build, with a pale complexion, dark hair and wearing dark clothing and brown training shoes with a white sole – was seen on CCTV taking a black Y-frame BARRACUDA bike from the cycle rack at Glasgow Central Station.

He was seen boarding a train a short time late and alighted from the service at Johnstone.

The word BARRACUDA is written in silver.

Constable Neil Adams, the BTP officer investigating the theft, is appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

He said: “I would urge anyone who is offered the bike in unusual circumstances to contact BTP. We will be monitoring online auction and second hand goods sites for anyone attempting to sell the bike.” British Transport Police can be contacted on 0800 40 50 40 or by texting 61016. Information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
