Are you hooked on The Traitors already? The second series of the BBC reality TV show has finally begun with the first three episodes available to watch now.

On Wednesday (January 3), viewers finally got to meet the 22 contestants and host Claudia Winkleman chose her Traitors once again.

But as the award-winning programme gets underway, there might be some questions puzzling your mind such as where the castle is located and where the cast sleeps at night. Here’s what we know.

Where is the castle from The Traitors located?

If you have watched the cast of The Traitors arrive at the historic grand building in the first episode of both seasons, you might be wondering where it is.

The BBC programme is filmed at Ardross Castle in Scotland and is located just north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, reports The Mirror.

The 19th-century castle is surrounded by more than 100 acres of land which was often seen during the challenges from the 2022 series.

Fans may have noticed it is also the home for the US version of The Traitors.

The American edition which is hosted by actor Alan Cumming launched last year on the streaming platform Peacock.

The second series of The Traitors US will air on January 12 and features celebrity contestants such as politician John Bercow and Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.

Where do the Traitors sleep at night on the UK version?

Those taking part in The Traitors do not sleep at Ardross Castle.

Instead, they are transported in separate vehicles at night and are taken to different accommodation.

Both the Traitors and Faithfuls leave the castle when the roundtable has come to an end and the clock chimes.

The exact location of where the cast sleep is not currently known but we do know they are not allowed to communicate with each other or anyone outside of the programme.

In the first episode of The Traitors series two, Claudia said: “All the players must leave immediately and return to their individual lodgings where they can't see or speak to anyone."
