A NEW venue opening in Bridge of Weir is set to create around 40 jobs for the town.

Hospitality group Buzzworks is branching out from its Ayrshire roots as it announces its new venue in Renfrewshire named The Coach House.

Work has already begun on a £1m development that will see the former Archies lounge bar and kitchen on Main Street transformed.

Customers can expect a modern take on a traditional bar and restaurant open in the summer.

This will be Buzzworks’ first restaurant outside of Ayrshire, but will be the fifth restaurant under the groups’ House brand.

The 40 new recruits will be trained by the Buzzworks launch team.

The interiors of the soon to be Coach House have been designed by Jim Hamilton who has produced many commercial interiors throughout Scotland.

The revamped venue will offer all day dining and drinking in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

Kenny Blair, Buzzworks Holdings MD, said: "This is a major step forward in our growth strategy as we make our debut outside Ayrshire.

"The Coach House will bring a new dining experience to Bridge of Weir and we can’t wait to open the doors this summer.

"The Coach House will be a stunning venue with a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere featuring our trademark contemporary twist.

"What’s more, we will be providing a number of excellent employment opportunities for the local area and beyond.
