YOUNGSTERS were in high spirits in Inchinnan for the latest Messy Church fun day

Children were joined at the village’s parish church by parents, grandparents and carers for the action-packed event, which uses creativity, celebration and hospitality to bring people together.

Suitable for all ages, the sessions are open to everyone, including those who aren’t already church members.

The Messy Church session included a short celebration story, prayer, song and games.

To round things off, everyone enjoyed a sit-down meal together.

Minister Anne Knox was delighted with the turnout. at the Inchinnan event

She told The Gazette: “We were pleasantly surprised by the number of children who came along.

“Our theme for this month’s Messy Church was the Holy Spirit.

“The church also has a Christmas tree festival coming up this winter that we have run for a few years, so we designed decorations for that.

“Kids had fun learning about the journey the wise men took and they also did some colouring in.

“There were also some crafts and painting fun at the session.”

The next Inchinnan Messy Church will take place on Saturday, December 2, from 4pm to 6pm, and will have a Christmas theme.
