The 18-year-old star has taken delivery of his new bike that he and his father Neil hope will launch him into the next stage of his developing career.

Adamson is currently in preparations for the 2015 British and Scottish championships, and the bike supplied by Bikesport in Newcastle will he hopes give him the extra push he needs in the final straight.

The new KTM SX350F has been getting rave reviews in motorcycle circles and Adamson immediately put the bike to good use by winning a round of the Melville Winter Series Championships, scoring three out of three wins in the A class of the competition.

John’s dad and mechanic Neil, prepares the bike at his shop AAA Motorcycles on Abercorn Street, Paisley.

He told Gazette Sport: “These results are fantastic on a bike which John is not used to and that we have had no time to set up properly.

“It is all looking good for next year.” Adamson is now hard at work preparing himself for the pre-season international at Hawkstone Park, where he will pit himself against an array of World Championship riders on February 8.
