GOOD causes in Renfrewshire will soon be quids in, thanks to The Gazette and our friends at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland.

We are teaming up with the leading housebuilder to give away £1,000 in our fantastic Community Chest initiative.

We want you, our readers, to nominate worthy causes in the Renfrewshire area which you feel are most deserving of a share of this generous cash award. It could be a local charity which relies heavily on donations to keep up its good work in the community or an organisation which makes a real difference to the place where you live – the choice is yours.

Our editorial team will then whittle down the nominations to produce a shortlist of the most deserving causes, before inviting readers to vote for their top three to receive a cash boost.

The group which receives the most votes will win £500, with a £300 prize for the runner-up and a £200 award for third place.

Audrey Ross, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be teaming up with The Gazette to offer readers the chance to nominate their favourite local cause to receive a share of our £1,000 cash donation.

“The Community Chest is a great way to recognise the unsung heroes that are found in the local communities where we are really proud to build our new homes and I’d urge readers to get involved and nominate their favourite cause.”

Taylor Wimpey is currently building high-quality new homes at its Dargavel Village development, in Bishopton, and will open a new development at Hawkhead Gardens, in Paisley, early next year.
