A MAN has died after being hit by a train in Renfrewshire.
The incident occurred on Sunday just before 6.50pm when the 51year-old was struck by a train at Lochwinnoch train station.
Police rushed to the station soon after but emergency services sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Lochwinnoch Railway station, at 6.50pm yesterday after reports of a person being struck by a train.
"Colleagues from the ambulance service also attended and a 51 year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
