A CREEPY care worker who sent pictures of his genitals and videos of people having sex to his horrified colleagues admits he is “ashamed.”
Last week, The Gazette told how Russell Watson had been struck off over his vile behaviour at Ranfurly Care Home, in Johnstone.
As well as sending indecent images to co-workers, he also left them disgusted by vividly describing ‘sexual encounters’ with female members of staff which never happened.

Now the 36-year-old Johnstone man has apologised for his actions – but insisted that, at the time, he thought he was merely engaging in “banter” with his colleagues.
Mr Watson told The Gazette: “I want to apologise for what I did. It was a stupid, stupid thing to do and, if I could take it back, I would.
“I know I shouldn’t have said those things and I am genuinely sorry. It’s not something I’m proud of.
“It wasn’t my intention to harm anyone or to make anyone feel uncomfortable. It’s something that just happened and, before I knew it, complaints were being made about me.
“At the time, I thought it was just banter between me and my work colleagues but I can see now that it went beyond that.”
Mr Watson was based at the care home, in Quarrelton Road, when he sent one colleague a picture of his penis and told her he would “make her feel good.”
He falsely claimed to have had sex with three female colleagues, causing the women to feel violated.
Mr Watson asked another colleague if she had become pregnant to him and said he fantasised about a different co-worker wearing a “red bra, panties and suspenders.”

He was removed from the register by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) over his conduct, which took place between Christmas Day 2017 and March 31 last year.
Mr Watson is now studying for a HNC in tourism as he follows a new career path but admits he fears his behaviour at the care home will continue to haunt him.
“I am concerned about how all of this might affect that,” he added. “All I can say is that I’m sorry for what I did.”
