A MISSING elderly man is thought to have been seen at a train station asking for directions to his home town.

The man - who police have not named - was last seen around Magnus Road in Houston yesterday at around 7pm.

But officers looking for him believe he may have travelled to Milliken Park station, in Johnstone, earlier that day and asked someone for directions to Houston.

He is believed to be between 65 to 75 years old with white hair. He is of a slim build, around 5ft 9ins tall and wearing a blue disposable face mask.

At the time, he was wearing a black puffa jacket, with a broken zip, light blue jeans with the bottoms turned up and sporting a blue NHS face mask.

He is thought to be in possession of a bus pass and police have urged bus and taxi drivers to keep an eye out for him.

Anyone who has any information is asked to contact police via 101 and quote incident number 2867 of February 1.
