A VULNERABLE man who disappeared from Houston has been found safe and well.
The alarm was raised by police on Monday night after an elderly man - who police have not named - was last seen in Magnus Road earlier that evening.
Officers looking for him believed he had travelled to Milliken Park station, in Johnstone, earlier that day and asked someone for directions to Houston.
Hundreds of people shared an online appeal for information as concern grew for his wellbeing.
A police spokesperson said: "We are pleased to confirm that officers have traced the man safe and well. Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal."
