UPDATE: Inmate who absconded from prison traced by police

Police are appealing for information to help trace 45-year-old John Paul Lynch, an inmate at HMP Castle Huntly, Dundee, who has absconded.
He was reported missing to police around 6.45 pm on Thursday, 3 March, 2022.
Lynch is described as white, around 5ft 7ins, of average build, with short dark brown hair.
He has a distinctive scar on the left side of his face.
When last seen he was clean shaven and wearing glasses, a cream jacket, blue jeans and black shoes.
He is originally from Paisley and may return to this area.
If seen, members of the public should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3117 of Thursday, 3 March, 2022.
