A MAN was tied up in his own home and had his car stolen in a terrifying robbery this morning. 

The 57-year-old victim was pounced upon by two men at around 2am in Whitesbridge Avenue, Paisley, after inviting them back to his house. 

After entering, the duo tied the man to a chair and nicked his mobile phone before making off with his car, a dark blue Peugeot 208 64 plate.

The man suffered no injuries in the shocking incident but detectives say he has been left shaken. 

The first suspect is described as being in his early 20s, slim build, with white coloured hair and he was wearing a dark polo and grey bottoms at the time.

The second suspect is in his late 20s, around 5ft 10inches tall, also slim build, with dirty fair hair. He was wearing a dark sports jacket and white t-shirt during the raid.

Detective Inspector Bob Bowie, based in Paisley, said: "We are looking for anyone with information on the location of the car to get in touch."
